Video: Ryan Boundless WON'T go back to America

Post by kangarunner »

Honestly, what expat wants to go back to America? Why would anyone want to go back to prison?

I guess he likes Africa better than both the US and Japan (White guy hates how he is treated in Japan).

Looks like he has some interesting videos. Too bad you have to pay to watch them. If it was on youtube I’d be interested in watching “How my Thai in-laws screwed me over.”

I've been watching some of his videos lately. I like his honesty when discussing the pros/cons of living in certain countries. In Uganda, he has electricity about 50% of the time and bathes outside with a bucket of water. He's the only white guy in the village and has to deal with hostile young local dudes who are jealous of his success with women there. There is no rule of law in Uganda. Government officials can be easily bribed. The police can arrest you and throw you in jail for any BS reason they want to. Overall, he seems happy living in Uganda. He can support himself with his meager YouTube/Patreon earnings and enjoy a decent dating life. He lives on $600 a month which would be very difficult in the US.

He seems a bit like the youtuber “truegritproductions” who got sick of living in the U.S. but after living in several countries abroad he seemed to realize that the whole world basically sucks and there’s too many cons in any given country to be satisfied in calling one “home.” So he, just like Ryan Boundless, kind of ends up living like a nomad, not really tying themselves down to any one place.

He's back in America. He's living in his car in Florida. He says that after living for five years in Africa he needs to make some money.

It makes me depressed too. Once you go expat, you don't go back to hell. I watched a video from another guy saying that men over 50 shouldn't be in America. I watched another video where a guy said that men over 40 shouldn't be in America. America grinds you up and then it's done with you when you're no of no use to the system.

I can think of three men who went back to America after living abroad and then made Youtube videos about being back in America. Ryan, Andy Lee Graham, and Do More Life. None of them say in their videos, "Look! I'm so happy to be back in the USA! The Land of the Free!". Find one video on Youtube of someone returning back to America and saying how happy they are to be back. You won't find one.

I watched a few of Ryan's videos since he's been in FL and I was surprised how well he's doing. I didn't hear him make many complaints about being in the US. Ryan is a legitimate alpha male.

The thing is, we go abroad for a better life. The most depressing thing is to have to return to America and re-integrate into a system that we left in the first place.

Then whats the point in leaving or telling people to leave and then coming back yourself? That sounds hypocritical. The depressing part about this is that he's living in his Van, I hate stories about homelessness because it makes me worried that I may be in the same position. I mean shit man most people my age still live with their parents, it's hard to be out on your own. My cousin who is a nurse makes good money and she still relies on a guy whom she is married to. Everyone is relying on someone whether it's their parents, a roommate, a girlfriend, boyfriend, it doesn't matter because the moment you slip up you are out on the street and it gets harder with them raising the rent every year to make it worse.

A lot of why these bloggers are back is because of the visa situation, to live legally in these countries is getting harder and harder as they clamp down on people who live there on eternal tourist visas which is what I imagine was 'Do More Life''s problem and I am sure will end catching up with 'twenty seconds in Thailand' and a host of others - who wants to go back to America and live in a car or a van or whatever? I have known people who have done that and especially around the time of the COVID lockdown but they soon got back on the saddle and f***ed off out of there - which is what I will guess will happen to Boundless, he has a degree and has lived in Asia before, he could easily do it again.

Short summary: If there wasn't the visa/legal hurdles to living in Thailand or wherever - Do More Life would still be in Thailand, Boundless, I have no idea, he probably needs to make money or save some to continue the life he wants.

I got the impression that Ryan is trying to save as much money as possible in order to live abroad again. He has two jobs and lives in his vehicle. He should be an inspiration to the people who complain they can't afford to leave America.
