Chatting girls up by speaking their language online

I've run across some shorts from this guy online:

What he does is go online and chat with girls in different countries, pretend he doesn't speak their language, then break out into their language. Pretty simple thing to do. But he does it in a few languages.

Here he gets 48k hits doing that. I'm thinking, if I wanted a lot of hits, I wonder if I could do that? But I am too old and married for people to watch it thinking what a great way to meet women. I'm guessing his videos are popular because young men see this as a way to chat up girls, or maybe the girls overseas like to see his clips. If I could come up with some theme other than hitting on girls where I surprise people with my Indonesian language skills.

I wonder what platform he is using to meet people. Does anyone know? Is it one of those platforms for chatting with speakers of foreign languages? If it is, that could be an environment to meet overseas girlfriends for those of you who are single and interested in that sort of thing. At least it's less likely that the girl on the other end is a fat guy in his tighty whities in Russia catfishing you by uploading pictures of models.

There used to be something called Omegle where you could video chat with random strangers from around the world.

There's tons of websites and apps where you can video chat with people.

seems like a lot of Indonesians who respond online abbreviate words in a kind of text abbreviation code that they use that I'm not familiar with. I can speak Indonesian but I have very little sight words of vocabulary and if I have to model through trying to figure out what this abbreviated codes for words that they use online means it's very difficult. I would not be surprised if Google translate cannot handle it either.

I'd imagine using these chat platforms would have some advantages over online dating. You wouldn't be able to look up variables like employment, religion, or height, but you could see the face, and I would imagine there would be fewer scammers.

The scammer would have to spend time on each mark instead of doing mass advertising. The scammer could be some greasy old due posting the picture of a stripper he got off the Internet. Unless there are sophisticated AI or beauty apps. the girl on the non-dating chat platform is probably showing you her face.

The girl on the chat app might have a boyfriend and not be looking, and may not be there specifically to date, so I'd imagine there could be some time wasting going on, but it still seems lower risk than online dating platforms, from what I hear.

And if girls only swipe right on 20% of men without interacting with them, being charming or there showing attention on a chat app could give a man an advantage when he'd have been swiped left otherwise.

The problem would be targetting a geographical region for if a man wanted to target an area in Columbia, the Philippines, Ukraine, etc. to go there and date a lot of girls to narrow it down on a vacation, but if he wants to date one girl and go there to get to know her, meet her family, and maybe propose, that makes sense. If he ends up with one, she'd probably appreciate the 'one-girl' approach better.
