Guys:

I used to think that this kind of journalism was all media bias. After our experience on The TODAY show and with Dr. Phil it appeared that there was an insatiable need for the media to generage hyper sensationalism with complete disregard for perspective or even facts.

However, there is a dark side to international dating. Bad behavior between misguided or disingenuous men and women from the West and these foreign countries make it easy for tabloid journalists to create these segments.

I was saddened by the ABC Nightline show this last week, but this time, most of it was real. Men with no training and fantasy expectations. Women who come to party and exploit men. Where were the sincere women? They were lost in the crowd and not as aggressive as the scammers. These elements are real and do exist. The problem with this segment was the implications they tried to make with these stories and the complete lack of balance. There was not one success story covered, other than the owner of the tour company.

Sadly, the show makes a pretty good case for what's truly wrong with the historic models for international dating. In many cases it's hurting good people, destroying innocence, and further tainting the general stereotype of true love between people from diverse cultures and nations.

BUT, It is one of our core beliefs that we will defend that which is right in the world of International Dating. I had to speak up. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this video.

What are your personal thoughts about Ukraine vs. Russia based on what you've found first hand and the experiences of guys you know or know of?

I have read a lot of horror stories and personally know of some too involving western men who pair-up with Russian and/or Ukrainian girls. It seems like of all the hot-spots for finding a foreign partner - PI, China, Colombia, and Russia/Ukraine, the last one is the riskiest based on what I've read and heard so far.

Your service seems to be intent on filtering the girls and hand-holding which might help a lot. Another thing I've heard from some (including Ladislav on this site) is that if you use local dating sites (which use local language) you avoid most of the scammers automatically. But to do this, you either need the help of a local intermediary or you need to acquire sufficient language skills.

As for age gaps, we've had some debates recently on this forum about what is generally accepted overseas. One rule which has been suggested is the half your age plus 7 rule. Basically, you divide your age by 2 and add 7 to calculate a good age for your target. Do you think this sort of formula is applicable in Ukraine with the majority of girls. If I remember right, you are around 50 now. So your target could be 50/2 + 7 = 32 (say a +/- range of 3 years for 29-35). Also, as far as most girls are concerned, it your apparent age (how old you look) more important or your actual chronological age? All else equal, would a 45 year old guy who looks 35 be more or less popular with younger girls than a 35 year old guy who looks 45? Just curious for your perspective on this.

Well, it's interesting that the mainstream media is starting to attack the concept of international marriage, since it is clear that it is becoming extremely popular, and American women hate it, because it means that American men are rejecting them and going for foreign women instead.

I see this mostly as feminist propaganda on the part of American women, to try to scare American men away from the idea of getting a foreign wife, because American women realize they can't compete with foreign women, which is why they have to do whatever it takes to keep American men away from foreign women.

We all have to remember that Hollywood is run by women and gays so loathe when straight men in this country have options. The femmies want to have ultimate control but yet they cannot mend the hole in the net and it pisses them off.

I invite you guys to go over to Topix.com. There are dozens of open threads that discuss this topic. When a given thread has thousands of posts, you know it's a very heated subject.

Its not surprise that Hollywood neglects to show success stories. My wife and I would LOVE to be interviewed by one of these tv shows!!!!! Yet sadly the invite will never arrive because they want to paint the thing in a negative light.

Pete, you're absolutely right. That's exactly why I will always post a rebuttal when I see one of these major media pieces. I hope it reaches a few guys and turns them around. Otherwise, they're just back to what they had before.

The mainstream media will never show the overwhelmingly positive side of international marriage, because then it would make a lot of men start considering the idea of finding a foreign woman, and American women HATE that idea, because only American men are dumb enough to put up with American women, so if American women lose even more men to foreign women, then they will be completely left out to dry. I don't waste my time. All the sites I'm apart of on any given night is overloaded with women over age 35. A majority of fall between 35 and 50. Not that these women don't deserve companionship but something is wrong for so many women to be single right? As you say its the fact that Feminism 2.0 was never about equality but the subversion of Men as a whole.

In this country as Mark points out in his rebuttal that is similar to 2005 Study of International Couples most women are comfortable with a 10 year age difference, not American Women! Only if they have children from a previous relationship will they accept a many 10 years or more older than her, as I said (many times on here) seeking stability emotionally and financially.

In my current economic state however as desirable as some of these much younger women are (early 20's in some cases), it will bot tolerate raising a child, not even after returning to work full time. I will not try and raise a child, buy a house and have a family on $25-$30K (a year) where I'm apt to be when I return to the workplace at least for a few years.

Plus I just have a problem doing something somebody else should be doing which is raising their own children!

Anyway, I haven't totally given up because as you say 90% maybe bad, but that still leaves 10% and I will also say that most White Women that date Black Men aren't bat-shit crazy. Most desire a traditional relationship in actuality. Its the career minded women that are no different no matter what color they are and they are the problem.

That said, I hope to start on my project Find A Wife Overseas Edition no later than mid 2012 when I start assaulting the web sites in hopes of traveling to Europe by the end of 2012. Before that I will make an exploratory mission to South America to gauge just how interested Clara skinned Latinas are interested in Black Men. I'm thinking not enough to waste much time down there, but I COULD be wrong.
