Hey all,
I was wondering how things are in Bali compared to the rest of Indonesia and SEA? I know it's a huge tourist spot but the island seems to have a lot of good culture and history. I could see myself starting my adventure there when the time to leave the US comes.
For anyone who has been there or knows anything about it, what are the women and the society like, especially when you get away from Denpasar and the big touristy areas? Is there good potential there to meet quality women who would make good faithful life partners?
Looking forward to your thoughts!
Anyone been to Bali?

@manly5000,
Bali is home of the most Australian expats that I have ever known. There are also Australians whom just have summer homes there in Bali but still reside most of the year in Aussie.
You may put yourself in touch with LadiSlav whom can tell you more.

Bali is to Australians what the Caribbean or Mexico is to Americans. It's just mostly full of Australians who can only afford a cheap holiday, so they go to Bali. If your idea of having a good time is trying to score with Australian of often-times questionable looks while sober, then go ahead and visit there. There is a reason they sell the famous "Jam Jar", basically after 2 you can't see straight and maybe one of the plump Aussie ladies might start looking good to you...
You aren't going to be hooking up with local women, that's for sure. Unless your into street prostitution and having to negotiate prices with pimps. Lots of gay local guys though if your into that thing...
It's just mostly a beach place during the day and a get totally wasted place at night. Nothing special about it.
I'd rather go to Thailand, Cambodia or Vietnam if I had a choice.
Plus the street kids and beggars are some of the most annoying in the world IMO.
Indonesia ain't no great shakes. If you have never been there and want to go for the experience, fine. But it would be closer to the bottom of my Asian list rather than the top or middle.

As an Australian, i can tell you now
do not go to bali if you want to meet asian women
it is just full of drunk aussie yobbos and idiots or as americans call them hillbillies
it is well known for football teams to go there for end of season trips
so unless you just wanted to get wasted and hang out with
drunk obnoxious aussies .... you may as well go to cancun or some crap like tha
who will probably want to get into a fist fight -if you say the wrong the thing
anyway it is very touristy and overated in genereal
go to thailand, phillipnes or wherever
