I'm guessing that many guys have pleaded and threatened Winston about cleaning up the place as long as it has been in existence. It won't happen.

I disagree with the overall philosophy but I don't own the site and frankly the moment someone suggests stronger moderation, other guys complain the their first amendment rights to be an asshole are being infringed.

At this point I just accept it for what it is. It ain't gonna change.

I sympathize with you completely, Zboy. Sadly, Winston is incapable of distinguishing between quality posters who enhance his site, and trolls and scum. And his colossal ego prevents him from having a few moderators with common sense to give the site direction and coherence.

I've already talked with him about this many times before. Winston doesn't care really because he feels the long time users will always be posters and he thinks short term new registers and bumps in traffic is all he needs.

As anyone who uses forums will tell you that without a solid contributing community base the board usually ends up being swamped with newbie crap and spirals downward eventually.

Well I was right. You were wrong. The forum has grown significantly, as I said it would. Sure there are complainers, but that's natural. You can't please everyone. What do you expect? For there to be no complaints? That's not realistic. On a free speech forum where people speak their minds, there will always be some complaints and not every poster will be liked.

You aren't making any valid objective arguments. Nor are you offering any specific logical conclusions with definitive guidelines.

Yes, those things can be frustrating if you spend a lot of time posting and reading here. My temporary solution has been simply to post here seldomly.
