Henrik Palmgren falsely claims no one is happier abroad!

Post by Winston »

After listening to Henrik Palmgren on Red Ice Radio (http://www.redicecreations.com) insinuate to Jay Weidner during an interview that moving overseas will accomplish nothing because everywhere is equally bad, I sent this letter to him, and told him that I would post it here to get public attention.

He is a popular alternative radio host from Sweden on conspiracy/paranormal/alternative topics and so it should be exposed when he makes a false statement about something important to us, especially since he is supposed to be a "truth seeker". (It's hard to find someone who is objective about everything isn't it?)

I think this is the interview I'm referring to:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L7NqEWxRoRk

My letter to Henrik Palmgren, host of Red Ice Radio:
Hi Henrik,
It's Winston again. One key question for you: Why did you laugh and say "Where? Where?" when Jay Weidner talked about moving overseas? Are you seriously claiming that everywhere is the same and that no place is better or happier than another?! If so, why? If not, then why did you insinuate that when you laughed and said "Where? Where?"

I can tell you 100 percent for sure that you are wrong. Many people are HAPPIER in some cultures than others. As for me, I need women to be approachable, feminine, down to earth, friendly and admire me and give me attention (which most men want deep down as well), so I am happier in cultures like Eastern Europe, Russia, China, Latin America, etc. where I can get that.

Let me give you a lesson in reality:

Every country has a different set of pros and cons. The US has clean air, clean water, clean land, clean national parks, high quality infrastructure, polite drivers, etc. But on the other hand, it has the highest mental illness rates in the industrialized world, highest prison population, highest rates of obesity, most expensive healthcare in the world, high cost of living, huge lack of human connection (neighbors don't usually talk to each other or invite each other over), highest loneliness rate in the world, and a huge epidemic where millions of males can't get any dates or female companionship!

Look it up Henrik! You diss Sweden as a bad place to live, but does Sweden have high obesity rates, the highest rates of mental illness, the highest prison population, etc. compared to the US? No it doesn't! What does that tell you? Does Sweden have a PUA movement?

Ok so Sweden has high taxes, but does anyone go bankrupt from medical bills as they do in the US? Of course not! So how can you compare?! How can you insinuate that Sweden is just as bad as the US?! What are you smoking?! Weed?

Think about it! So why then did you lie and insinuate to Jay Weidner that no one place is better than another and that all places are equally bad? That is WRONG! Don't you realize that? Think! You claim to be a truth seeker and intellectual. So how do you explain the above? Do you accept that you erred, or are you going to filter this info out with cognitive dissonance like humans usually do when confronted with data that contradicts their beliefs? lol

Look, I know that Sweden is not a paradise socially or romantically, but you are WRONG when you insinuate that everywhere is the same and equally bad. There are 200 countries in the world, and they are not all the same. They each have a different set of pros and cons. Millions of Americans are happier overseas. Many Brits and Irish are happier abroad too. Google "happier abroad" and you will see many articles.

Here's a lesson for you from my Expat Advisor who has lived long-term in 9 countries and speaks 10 languages:

"No country has it all, and most countries are heavily weighed in one direction and severely poor in another area. Countries that are materially rich are poor spiritually and socially. Countries with the best jobs opportunities cannot usually provide too many gorgeous dates. Countries with the most beautiful women have bad economies and rotten politics. It, therefore, stands to reason that in order to have it all, living in more than one country is often a necessity."
- Ladislav, Expat and Cultural Advisor of HappierAbroad.com

Bottom line: You gave Jay Weidner FALSE information that there is nowhere to move to where one can be happier. You are a truth seeker right? Then try to learn something! Don't be so ignorant. I happen to be one of the leaders of the global dating/living movement, and am authority on this subject, so I know what I'm talking about.

You ought to try dating American women and see their attitude, and then you will appreciate that at least Swedes are down to earth and more authentic. I have a mountain of stories, inc from Europeans, that will show you what I mean.

Here is concrete proof of what I'm talking about. See my photo collage here and you will see that I am happier overseas at least in terms of dating:
http://www.happierabroad.com/ebook/Collage.htm

A picture says a thousand words. Also see these videos of me meeting girls in Russia/Eastern Europe. You will see that they are relaxed, open, and approachable:
http://www.happierabroad.com/film.php

I hope you don't mind, but I'm going to post this letter to you in my forum with your name in the title thread, to challenge you to discuss this publicly. You are a public figure who made a public statement in a public interview (with Jay) so it's only fitting that I make a public statement proving you wrong about something important - which I can easily prove without a doubt.

You are free to participate in the thread. I will CC this to Jay so he understands that you erred in your statement to him.

Thanks,
Winston
In response, he was totally closed-minded and told me that Sweden and America were hellholes, so everywhere was as well. That was all he would say. When I gave him many reasons why one could be happier abroad, he ignored me. It's strange that a radio host who claims to be all about freethought and alternative truth would be so closed-minded on such an issue.

but there are tons and tons of igonorant people like him, actually the majority

people in USA/ Australia have been brainwashed to believe they live in the best country in the world

So many Australians believe they live in the best country in the world and no where else

Henrik Palmgren is not a mainstream radio host. He hosts an alternative show called Red Ice Radio which talks about paranormal and conspiracy topics. See his website here:

http://www.redicecreations.com

He is well known in the alternative research community. What I don't get is why the alternative research community is so open about conspiracies and paranormal topics, but still considers international dating and moving abroad for a better life to be taboo topics. Isn't that odd? They are supposed to be truth seekers and freethinkers. How ironic that there are taboo topics with them.

He bitches about taxes in Sweden. Yet no one in Sweden goes bankrupt from exorbitant medical costs for hospitalization. He just doesn't see the big picture and lumps all 200 countries into one category - all equally bad. Somehow, the concept that someone can move abroad to have a better life is beyond his comprehension and he dismisses it. Very odd for a truth seeker.

I have never heard the broadcast,,
but I'm very interested in this letter,
FYI I've read that Indonesian is the happiest country, and I've been there, the condition of Indonesian is very sad, messy, trash, dirty, and shabby ..

I think what's become a factor in Indonesian's happiness level is trust, everyone there has a strong belief in ancestral religion. things that are not owned by developed countries for more go here : mental health cooperative

I sent Henrik Palmgren this email asking why he said on his show that everywhere is the same as America and that moving abroad is not a solution, when we have tons of proof and testimonials that it is.
Henrik,
See below. I'd be willing to do an interview about this. I can easily prove that you are very wrong that moving overseas is not a solution. See below.

----- Forwarded Message -----

Subject: Jay, important thing you are missing about solutions overseas

Hi Jay,
My name is Winston, founder of HappierAbroad.com. I've seen your films and listened to many of your interviews and I love your knowledge and wisdom. What you unveiled about the moon photos and videos being obvious fakes is very revealing, obvious and airtight. It's amazing how many people are in denial out there. People are a lot more programmed and zombie-like when I thought. When me and my friends go out somewhere, we make observations about everything we see, but most people don't. They are oblivious to other people and to the background around them and don't look at things and observe. For example, when they go to restaurants, they talk about the most mundane lighthearted stuff with their companion, whereas me and my friends are making observations about the background, decor, and other people around us. Situations like this make me feel like I'm the only aware person in an environment of zombies.

Have you ever felt that way?

Anyway, the reason I am writing you is this: I just listened to you on Red Ice Radio with Henrik and noticed that you and Henrik are not aware of something important. I can tell you FOR SURE that you are both wrong that moving overseas is not a solution. Moving overseas IS A SOLUTION and I can prove it. Allow me to prove it to you. I run a successful movement/community about this at HappierAbroad.com and thus am an authority in this subject. First, in summary, here are the main benefits of living overseas, which apply to many if not most countries abroad:

1. Cost of living is much lower and much more affordable in most countries (except UK and Japan).
2. Healthcare is much more affordable and even free in some countries. People don't get bankrupted by healthcare costs like they do in the US. At your age, that's a biggie that you should consider. My parents moved back to Taiwan since they get free healthcare there, since it would be reckless to remain in the US where one health incident can bankrupt you.
3. Food is much more organic and natural, at least compared to America. I'm surprised Henrik doesn't know this since he's in Europe. In Europe, food is much more natural and so there is no need for expensive organic health food stores. Go there and you will see this. It's very obvious. How can a truth seeking intellectual like Henrik not know about this? Very strange. I will CC him this email.
4. People are more authentic and down to earth and easier to meet. They are more open with strangers. The social atmosphere is more inclusive. You can meet people even if you go out alone, whereas in the US if you go out alone, you stay alone. I've met people in Europe in restaurants. They are easy to chat up and will invite you to sit with them. I can understand Henrik not knowing about this, because Swedes are not very open. However, he should know that the rest of Europe is like this. It's common knowledge there.
5. The social atmosphere is not as judgmental or competitive, thus you do not constantly feel insecure about yourself as you do in the US. This isn't as big of an issue if you are older, but it applies mostly to Gen X and Y, who grew up in insecurity their whole lives, never feeling accepted for themselves - thus developing inferiority complexes. Case in point: Blacks and Asians in England do NOT have the inferiority complex that they do in the US.
6. Most importantly for men, young women are much more friendly and feminine. They are more authentic, natural and down to earth, and easier to talk to and meet. They do NOT have the man-hating "all men are creeps" attitude or the disgust toward flirtation that American women do (in total contrast with the illusion of Hollywood movies where everyone is so open and flirtatious).

I run a successful website/movement at HappierAbroad.com about these truths and benefits that offer a solution to the loneliness and dysfunctional living in America. Amazingly, these truths are obvious but the alternative media, such as Red Ice and others, don't know about it. It's as if they are taboo even in the alternative media. Why is that?

I guess that's a good thing though, because my website has had no competition, which is why it's so successful, as I am the only one going in depth about the truths that I promote and share.

You can see many testimonials I put together that testify to the above at:
http://www.happierabroad.com/testimonials.php

Also see this big collection of quotes/comments from foreigners/immigrants that I put together that testify to my claims too:
http://www.happierabroad.com/ebook/Page32.htm

I've also done many interviews in alternative radio, which are archived here:
http://www.happierabroad.com/interviews.php

Let me know what you think. Visit the main content of my site for proof of this real solution that many are living right now: http://www.happierabroad.com

Henrik, I'd be willing to do an interview on your show about this if you like.

Jay, you mentioned in your interview on Red Ice Radio that you're thinking of moving overseas but are not sure where. Well feel free to come to my community to get an idea of which overseas country you might fit in best.

I don't know why you said in your interview with Henrik that you know some people who went to Ecuador and came back because it was more corrupt than the US, implying that moving overseas does not solve anything, which is FALSE AND WRONG. Why did you say that? MANY people are happily living overseas right now. The mainstream media won't tell you about this, but other sources, such as me, will.

I hope you'll consider what I'm presenting, as I can back up all of it.

If you want, I'd be glad to have a phone conversation with you sometime. Thanks for your time.

Best Regards,
Winston"[/i]

Here was his vehement response:

"Winston.

Wow. Kinda sounds like you've got it all figured out ...but in fact you go it all backwards.

From your perspective, I do live abroad. I live in "Europe" (Sweden in fact) so let me enlighten you.

1. You're wrong. Living costs are MUCH more expensive in Sweden. How can you even make such an assumption? In what area/town in Sweden did/do you live in?
2. There is NO SUCH THING as "free" health care. Especially not in Sweden. YOU pay for everything. It's called OUTRAGEOUS TAXES! If you don't believe this: move here, live here, work here, start a business here ... and then we can talk, ok!
3. You say "food is much more organic and natural" ...where? Please tell me where I can go in Sweden to find better options then for example "Whole Foods" or "Trader Joe's". I can hardley find organic meat in the stores there.
4. Hahaha, you have OBVIOUSLY not been to Sweden. Yeah,oh wow - haha, that's one is a blast!
5. Where do you come up with these misconceptions? Where did you grow up in Sweden?
6. Once again, you have not been to Sweden - where liberal "butch" women have completely taken over society.

Go do your homework. Your claims are just ridiculous. http://www.whyileftsweden.com/

Even if Sweden is that bad, still, there are plenty of other alternatives. But Henrik doesn't acknowlege them for some reason. After I pointed this out to him, he didn't respond again. I guess he doesn't want to believe that moving abroad is a solution, insinuating that everywhere is the same. So much for him being a truth seeker. lol

I'm Happier abroad! When I was in the caribbean life was nice & slow paced, great food & friends but we do have some crime & terrible traffic for such small islands. I worked in the oil & gas sector & had to provide IT support to staff from 8am-7pm sometimes for less pay than I get now for less hours. I felt like a slave sometimes at beck & call.
Now I manage my own time it's not managed for me & I'm not controlled, by a clock; that an advantage I value. I'm never stuck in traffic either, rarely.
I also like being a tourist / mysterious girl in a foreign land. 8)

Tell Mr. Henrik Palmgren to ask immigrants to Sweden why they wanted to moved there.
