I'm sure the Amish are happier from not being of this world, than any satanic elite is.you have your priorities wrong .the secular society it's all about them and their egos.WanderingProtagonist wrote: ↑October 13th, 2024, 5:34 pmThat's a false sense of living and thinking.88jose88 wrote: ↑October 13th, 2024, 3:56 pmWe are not supposed to be concerned with such things,we long for heaven not some false utopia on earth.WanderingProtagonist wrote: ↑October 12th, 2024, 7:40 pmIt's also boring, and hopeless too...My birthday was October 10th, and that only made me realize how much I hate living at all as I get older and older, not to mention even more bitter than usual. Religion is the last thing I want to invest into only to realize how painfully disappointing it really is...People buy into religion because they are scared of living and even more afraid of dying. It's also a lazy way to simply avoid doing anything and sitting by idly hoping that your enemies will be punished by some made up ghost in the sky that don't even exist. While you sit around praying, your enemies continue to get wealthier and wealthier, that enemy is the federal government waging wars, starving their own population, and stealing shit as they laugh at how helpless your sorry ass is depending on some "GOD" to put them in their place. After I found out they have control over the weather and purposely wrecked all those towns and are now purposely trying to starve their own citizens, all of this while stealing resources.Pixel--Dude wrote: ↑October 11th, 2024, 12:32 pmChristianity is a religion of wishy washy delusion. I honestly only see one way people should go with Christianity, and that's away from it when they realise how silly it is.
That alone told me no such thing as a GOD exist. Garbage Men like Bill Gates, the free Mason cock suckers, and even that terrorist country using the U.S. military to ruin other countries who own everything on this planet all to themselves who can afford to play GOD are the ones proclaiming that title. They are so arrogant they believe a nuclear war wont even touch them, they'll just walk away unscathed still wealthy while the rest of us are dead or starving if the blast itself doesn't kill everyone. That's how stupid religion is....Even more so when people buy into the notion that Supernatural forces like GOD exist, when said GOD does nothing but sit on his collective ass allowing men with wealth and power to play GOD themselves.
I like Christianity because it proclaimed that if you live a upright life,no matter your life circumstances you will have a eternal life of utmost pleasurable joy and peace.
Also,I don't envy the elite or their wealth I'm content with a middle class income.

Ooops, I meant immortal.vlkmo wrote: ↑October 15th, 2024, 4:12 pm@MrMan You probably meant "immortal", not "immoral".
I know you said in one of my threads that in Heaven (or whatever the afterlife is), there will be no more human desires or attractions for things like sex (that God created, and is the biggest part of humanity down here) at all like we have down here. If the afterlife is on the new earth which I presume will be made of matter and material like the 'old' one, why would God still abolish that design for humanity or for those who wanted to enjoy it down here but for whatever reason didn't get to?
I get it. Having sex is right up there on the top of my list for pleasurful activities.
As for why, I don't know, but Jesus said neither marriage nor giving in marriage.

I also know about the story of Job that some people refer to when explaining why bad things happen to good people.
At least Job got his friends and family back after a period.

This is good advice. I remember standing on a rooftop at night on Valentine's day, after getting stood up by a girl I was interested in. I remember looking down thinking about hurling myself from that rooftop, since I had basically felt despondent about ever meeting the love of my life. Up to that point, I had seen little evidence that I would ever meet a good woman for me. Let alone find one to marry. It was a pathetic moment in my life, and I just sat on that roof pretty much bawling with my head between my legs. I wasn't religious. But during that whole bout of nocturnal dejection I remember crying out to God to bring me my wife. Two weeks later I met the woman who became my wife, and we've been married for 10 years now. She's basically been the perfect woman for me too. I had to fight pretty hard for her and our relationship at the beginning, due to circumstances that could fill the pages of a book, but it's hard for me to imagine things could've worked out any better for me.MrMan wrote: ↑October 10th, 2024, 3:35 pmI'm glad to hear of your new direction. Work hard, live a quiet and peaceable life. Pray, read the Bible, fellowship with other Christians. If you want a wife, pray and trust God. Look up that story about Abraham's servant finding a wife for Isaac. He asked for some pretty high criteria and God answered his prayer.

I'll share a snippet from a chapter in my life. Prior to these events I thought all this stuff was just religious gobbledeegoock. My wife (then fiance) was hearing things at night and even had the physical sensation of "visitors" on her bed every once in a while. I found out soonafter that she used to dabble in "witchcraft". We visited a pastor and of course he said it was demonic. "Oh well, this is latin america, and they're all superstitious down here." I thought to myself.88jose88 wrote: ↑October 16th, 2024, 7:04 amI didn't mean for this to become a debate on wether Christianity is true or not.
It's what I've seen as true due to my own spiritual experiences.
I've done things like tummo,Kundalini yoga and qi kung and I've seen that they are demonic practices because demonic attacks only increased when I was doing them.
And here's the thing, calling on Jesus has stopped the demonical attacks, not calling on other entities which I did so.
I also remember the demons in sleep paralysis and dreams saying I could worship any angel, prophet or god but not Jesus.
I am a christian due to the experiences I've had.
A few months later, we started going to a small neighborhood church together. Later, the pastor of that church decided to help us get married. One night he came to visit us in the apartment where we were living at the time. He started praying for us and put his hand on my head, and then on my wife's head. After a few moments, while he was praying for my wife, she collapsed to the floor and began slowly rocking from side to side and groaning. To say I got worried was an understatement. I hadn't much firsthand experience to guide me in this situation. It was very awkward for me, and I didn't know what to do, so I decided to just pray to Jesus that my wife would be OK. The pastor kept praying in "the name of Jesus Christ" that the evil spirits "let go of her!". After a short while I heard a deep cry lurch forward seemingly from my wife's chest, and she began sobbing while still lying on the floor. I thought to myself, "Whoa. This stuff is actually real!" Witnessing the scene completely changed my world view. To have this sort of thing happen to someone right next to me. Someone who I knew very well, and who would not stage such an experience.
Since that night, she's never endured any of those unpleasant nocturnal sensations. I remember my wife describing the experience to me from her point of view. She said it felt like there was some "ball" inside of her that came up through her chest, throat and exited her mouth. Years later, on the internet, we came across some testimonies of exorcisms and the subjects all expressed this same sensation.

Thanks for sharing that story. I've got a cousin who had a friend who had some crazy stuff going on. I've been texting my cousin and haven't reached him by phone yet. This stuff happens from time to time. It doesn't fit with the worldview they taught on TV when I was a kid.rudder wrote: ↑November 21st, 2024, 4:54 pmI'll share a snippet from a chapter in my life. Your wife, and yourself, need to get her 'filled up.' Jesus talked about how an unclean spirit would go out of a man, wander through dry places seeking rest and finding none, then go get 7 spirits more wicked than itself, go back to that man, find him 'empty, swept, and garnished' enter in and dwell there and the latter state of that man would be worse than the beginning. It would be that way with that generation.
Anyway, she needs to be full of God's spirit, and so do you. So both of you put your faith in Christ. If you haven't been baptized in water, get baptized. Study the word of God and fellowship with other believers. Build up your faith so demons will be scared of both of you instead of seeing you as a place to hang out.
